I understand this is the device that accelerates the car during cold starts. People speak of a diaphragm but I open mine today and instead of a diaphragm I found a rotating plate with a spring on one side and a funky shaped hole. There is no way this device ever "seals" but rather controls flow to some degree.
Can anybody tell how this works so I can test it? Coil resistance is within specs at 75 ohms but powering the pins did not result in the movement of any parts.
